INTENTIONALITY
At Ping Home Loans everything we do is intentional. Everything we do starts with the end in mind.
The most important thing we do each day is to help someone move toward a better quality of life. We value doing the right thing in all circumstances and act in the best interest of our borrowers, referral partners and teammates. Without exception.
We are profitable and enjoy coming to work each day. We like to experience fun more often. We believe that the purpose of intentional success in the workplace is to create greater fulfillment in what we value outside of the workplace. We believe that if we don’t sacrifice for what we want, what we want becomes the sacrifice.
We are in constant pursuit of best practices and are committed to leadership by example and coaching. We believe we are smarter collectively than as individuals. We encourage the questioning of status quo and because we like, trust, and respect each other, we are able to engage in healthy debate as a means to continuous improvement. We care about our fellow teammates and families beyond the front door.
We strive to maintain a healthy margin between operational capacity and demand at all times to ensure timely closings and responsive service to our borrowers, referral partners and sales teams. We understand it is a costly initiative which is only exceeded by the cost of being understaffed. We value clarity in expectations and each position at Ping has a detailed position description of who does what, when, and how. We find this creates greater accountability and boundaries which serve everyone’s interests.

ARE WE A FIT?
What we have learned from Patrick Lencioni’s ground breaking books on developing happy, healthy, and highly productive work environments; is to hire character over skill and experience. We do not build rocketships. We add, subtract, multiple, and divide. We hire people who are “Humble, Hungry and Smart” in the context of “The Ideal Team Player ©” and teach, coach, and motivate to the gaps. Please click on the tiles below for a description of each character trait.
THE "IDEAL" TEAM PLAYER
Humble
Ideal team players are humble. They lack excessive ego or concerns about status. They are quick to point out the contributions of others and slow to seek recognition for their own. They share credit, emphasize team over self, and define success collectively rather than individually.
HUMBLE
Hungry
Ideal team players are hungry. They are always looking for more—more things to do, more to learn, more responsibility. Hungry people rarely have to be pushed by a manager to work harder because they are self-motivated and diligent. They are constantly thinking about the next step and the next opportunity.
HUNGRY
Smart
Ideal team players are smart. They are emotionally intelligent and have common sense about people. They tend to know what is happening in a group situation and how to effectively deal with others. They have good judgment and intuition around the subtleties of group dynamics and the impact of their words and actions.
